1.) Define the term “Moral Maturity”

Moral Maturity is marked by depth and consistency of moral judgement; by recognition that any moral judgement may be fallible; that moral judgement is complex, in that moral principles, if they are to be applied to a specific case, may need to be interpreted. Moral maturity is a requirement in the person who is to apply a body of knowledge or a skill to the solution of a problem, or to the understanding of a situation, if the knowledge is not to remain abstract and the skill potential unrealized.

2.) Read the following article:

Discuss the reasons why the 25 year old man mentioned in the article would be regarded as having a lack of ‘moral maturity’.

He is regarded as having a lack of moral maturity because it was shown after he didn’t accept the arrest in the first place. Part of moral maturity is the skill to solve a problem. In this case an easy solution would have been to accept the fact that he was to be arrested leave it at that.

3.) Identify the differences between ‘morality’ and ‘immorality’.

Morality is conformity to the rules of right conduct; moral or virtuous conduct. Immorality is immoral quality, character, or conduct.

4.) Watch the following clip and describe the reasons why Governor Spitzer’s actions would be regarded as ‘immoral’.
